Terms of Service – WalloMate

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WalloMate mobile application and related services ("WalloMate", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using WalloMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

WalloMate is intended for users 18 years of age or older who can legally connect and manage bank accounts. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Description of the Service

WalloMate is a personal finance application that provides:

  • Financial tracking and organization
  • AI-powered insights and explanations
  • Safe-to-spend and cash flow visibility
  • Bill and budget management tools
  • An AI assistant ("Mate") to help users understand and act on their financial data

WalloMate provides informational and organizational tools only.

3. No Financial Advice

WalloMate does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

All insights, recommendations, projections, and outputs — including those generated by AI — are provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information provided by the app.

You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

4. AI Disclaimer

Mate, the AI assistant, generates responses using automated systems and third-party AI models.

  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated
  • Outputs are not guaranteed to be correct
  • You remain fully responsible for how you use the information

WalloMate is not liable for actions taken based on AI-generated content.

5. Bank Connections

  • WalloMate connects to financial institutions through third-party providers such as Plaid
  • Access is read-only
  • WalloMate does not initiate transactions or store bank credentials
  • We are not responsible for inaccuracies, outages, or delays from financial institutions or third-party providers

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Use WalloMate only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the service
  • Not use the app in a way that could harm WalloMate or other users

7. Subscriptions & Billing

  • WalloMate is a subscription-based service
  • A 7-day free trial may be offered
  • After the trial, your subscription automatically renews
  • Billing and payments are handled exclusively through Google Play
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account

Unless otherwise expressly specified in these Terms, if you cancel your Subscription prior to its expiration, during 14 calendar days from the date of Subscription purchase you may request a refund of amounts you prepaid directly. Refunds may take up to one month to be fully processed.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of WalloMate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

By using WalloMate, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability & Changes

We may:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue features
  • Update the app or services
  • Change pricing or subscription offerings

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

You may stop using WalloMate at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • WalloMate is not liable for financial loss, missed payments, or decisions made using the app
  • We are not responsible for third-party service failures
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to WalloMate in the past 12 months

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

WalloMate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

For users in the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable state laws.

For users in Canada, these Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable provincial laws.

Conflict of law principles do not apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of WalloMate after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
